Aztlan Quest

Aztlan Quest is a personal project I created to explore the idea of what could have happened if the Spanish haven't prevailed over the Aztecs and the Aztec Empire existed today. This here is the main Concept Piece but in a subsequent post, I will put just the character design work.

Here Huitzi, the main character, returns to Tenochtitlán the capital city of the Aztec Empire. She sees a strange fire on top of an abandoned construction on the outskirts of the city so she decides to investigate, changing the course of her Acalli amphibian vehicle and disembarking. When She comes closer the god Quetzalcoatl appears in front of her, telling her a secret that can change the fate of the empire if she so chooses.
